Tight houses need mechanical ventilation to ensure a supply of fresh air to keep people healthy; and existing houses should not be tightened without assessing whether the existing combustion appliances have an adequate source of combustion makeup air.
Not only do homeowners want an efficient house, but they also assume that they will be comfortable in every room of the house. There are three main types of insulation – fiberglass batts, blown in fibers (cellulose or fiberglass), and spray foam. They are all commonly used to insulate attics.

One of the most common downfalls of installed HVAC systems is their inability to distribute the correct amount of air to where it’s needed most.
