Why does the design process start here?
Without a load calculation you can trust, the rest is almost pointless.

You have to start somewhere. In the case of HVAC design training, that means Manual-J.

From sloppy data collection to sloppy software techniques, there are sooooo many opportunities to botch a load calculation. And, as the saying goes, junk-in = junk-out.

If you’re not 100% confident in your team’s ability to perform an accurate load calculation, it’s imperative that we start here. Without accuracy at this step, the rest has a slim chance of success.

There’s plenty more to come. But, we need to walk before we run.

This first course combines the fundamentals of ACCA’s Manual-J 8th edition with the inner workings of the software (you can choose between Wrightsoft or Elite versions of the training).

Your team will learn about the variables that matter, how to get them into the software properly, and how to interpret the results. Each student will complete 7 total projects within the course, from start to finish, working through a variety of real-world scenarios (insulation systems, zoning configurations, system types, etc.)
