This is a 4 day (Monday-Thursday) intensive training that is designed to teach experienced BPI analysts the additional elements required to also be a HERS rater. We’ll skip much of the building science, and jump straight into RESNET standards, the rating process, duct testing, and energy modeling.
Class will wrap up on the 4th day with the RESNET computerized rater exam ($50 to be paid to RESNET online at time of exam – bring a credit card).

Things to Bring With You: Please bring a 35’ tape measure, clip board, architect’s scale, compass, writing utensils & paper, flashlight and a calculator (with square root function). Bring laptop with Windows 2000, XP, or greater. Laptop must have CD-ROM drive and USB Port. No Mac’s.
Additional Fees: In addition to the required text book, you will also need to bring a credit card with you on the day of the written test (Friday), as you will need to pay a $50 testing fee to RESNET.
